If you have read my book , VisionCircle, you know that each new moon I journey to sit in a circle of dreamers–the dreamers of the Crystal Cave. Each dreamer brings a simple, sustaining vision of a renewed, awakened Earth. I see myself drinking from a mountain stream of pure water. My thought is that when pure water is be so easily available many larger things will have lined up.
Our aim is not to direct planetary changes in a path we think is best, because we do not presume to know what that is. Nor could a single vision be sufficient. Rather, we seek to assist our planet, her children, and our human race at this time of transition and awakening.
In the circle of dreamers, called the Council, we hold an energy around those visions, around the earth, and occasionally around the entire solar system! Typically that energy is in the form of living light of various colors. Those colors are conscious energies with different qualities of wisdom, cleansing, healing, or stimulation. The colors change from month to month and flow synchronistically.
I am told that there has always been a Council, perhaps many, but now it is important for its efforts to be broadened. I invite you to assist–if you wish–by bringing your own pure vision, joining us in holding a color-energy.
This is not channeled information, simply a suggestion from dream-time, where each of us walks in power and beauty. All you need to do is a brief visualization–when you think of it–during the new lunar cycle. You can do so in meditation, as a thought while driving, or even brushing your teeth. I do it on a daily basis, first thing in the morning.
Simply visualize and affirm it as so. The idea is to tip the balance a little more in the direction of ease and grace during the great changes each of us has chosen to witness and live.

End of the Rainbow
We have been holding rainbow energy around ourselves and the Earth for two months. When I sit in the rainbow energy, holding it for myself and the planet-each day-I experience it as a musical chord. Last month I said that working with the living light energies, we have been participating in a great tuning of ourselves and the earth. We shift together. This tuning also exposes what is in disharmony. Some days I felt that one color/note or another was slightly off, weak, or too dominant. I worked with that color as well. The color for this new-moon cycle returns to white, but I will be starting with one of the rainbow colors-whichever one feels good or as if it needs a little work. I suggest you do the same.
White
The new color is white–sourced from the Central Sun. If you project your inner vision to the center of our magnificent galaxy, you will find…what? A light-eating black hole is the current theory. Why not just go see for yourself?
When I go there using my inner vision, I see a great, central sun. It’s not just my vision. A number of adepts more powerful than I have returned with the same information. Actually two elements: a black hole and a counterpart of light that together form a central sun.
In this next new-moon vision-cycle, source from that great, loving being, rather than the Earth. Make a connection between your heart chakra (your center), the Earth, and the Central Sun. Surround yourself and then the Earth with that powerful white light. When we did this in the VisionCircle, it felt more like opening a channel than throwing out a long rope.
Think of it as an allowing. Effortless. Make it a gift to all humanity and the Earth. Send it as a gift to anyone who you think could use it from relatives to political leaders–not just the ones you favor!
I make a distinction between old energy and ancient energy (see dragons, below). Old energy is the powerful human-created thought forms long sustained by fear, anger and polarity. Stale! It is said that the old energy is dying. I find this true. As it does so, it blankets the world with fear and poison. Yet look at the changes that proceed almost exponentially now. In 1987 there was something called the Harmonic Convergence. A relatively small number of people linked energetically across the globe to bring a little light to the planet. The media sneered. Bus drivers waiting at the great pyramid of Quetzalcoatl in Mexico laughed at the gabachos paying to see their shadows. And what happened? Nothing! Yet two years later the Berlin Wall fell. Human civilization began stepping away from nuclear war. The changes have continued to accelerate.
The old energy thrives on polarities and still sees itself in control. Yet it finds itself curiously powerless. What is happening? Someone or some group is to blame! No, it’s just part of the shift. The old energy and ways of ruling through fear and greed cannot be killed. Don’t waste your time. It will slowly wither. What replaces it? That is up to us. What is your vision? This is a planet of free will. We get to choose. Refine your vision for yourself and the planet. Keep it simple so you can hold it as your do your light work.
As the old energy dies, it will thrash. Our vibration and the Earth’s rise together to the point that the old energy cannot be sustained. Or perhaps we have just learned to see through its density. There may also be earth changes. Do not be disturbed. If you are reading this, you are of the lineage of Earthkeepers. You have chosen to be here and to be part of the ones who hold light and a vision for the next great cycle.
It is the year of the dragon. You can find the usual descriptions of the twelve years of the Chinese zodiac online. A Chinese friend recently referred to them simply as destructive. But I have my own ongoing experiences with them.
I began encountering dragons in the course of personal and client work related to the Lower World, which usually has to do with soul retrievals, contract removal, and journey work. Increasingly, they-or their energy-returned with me to reside in or near a person. Some of this is in my book. At first I was unsure whether it was a good thing. Several clients asked, “Why would I want such a thing?” I could only answer, “It is something that returns to you or that you are making available to yourself. It is your choice whether it goes in simply as a healing or as an ally you can work with.” It is not just me. Sometimes I see them in other people in what appears to be a spontaneous connection.
What they have told me, is that they are a powerful, archaic elemental energy. Not a representation, a direct connection. This energy is Plutonic for it can be destructive or creative. The trick, as always, is finding balance. In the West, this energy has long been suppressed. The legendary dragon slayers common to all Indo-European peoples seem connected to the warlike, sky-god-worshipping cultures that assumed control over their earth-oriented predecessors. Those earlier cultures often had serpents as ritual metaphors, though it is important for our purposes to distinguish between dragons and snakes. Suppressed, dragon energy becomes destructive. It now returns to us for a reason, but our responsibility is to use it properly. Can we be trusted?
I experience the energy as an elemental force of one type or another but not kundalini, which indeed seems more related to serpent energy. The dragons are powerful protectors when called and knowers of things deeper than words, though they do not seem to come as teachers. Different ones do different things, but in my dealings with them it has seemed rude to ask their names. They do breathe fire in the sense that it can illuminate issues, heal, or destroy. My wife calls on one associated with her to start fires (though only as a last resort)!
Once, while stopped at a traffic light, I saw one like a slow-weaving ribbon of golden fire in the sky. I looked away and back several times and it was still there. Amazing! No one around me seemed to notice. And when one begins thinking of dragons, one sometimes sees them in the clouds, big ones. Go to Yellowstone, sit on a bench in Norris Geyser Basin, wait for the crowds to run past, and find that you are surrounded by dragons…

The Rainbow Bridge
In the last lunar cycle, we held silver light-energy around ourselves and the earth until the lunar eclipse at the full moon (Dec 10) and then gold. Personally, I found the silver easy. Gold was difficult. Whenever I did my daily light work, I encountered resistance — as if swimming upstream. Some have told me the same, others liked gold very much. I don’t know why.
Here’s a Christmas gift for you. Hold bronze or copper light around yourself for a minute. It serves as something of a ‘palate cleanser,’ like wine tasting. It is too strong to hold longer. You may also find it useful for a quick clearing of your energy field or as a “reset.”
Rainbow!
The color energy for the new lunar cycle is… all of them! Or pick a favorite: the rainbow ones plus pink. We’ll be giving the metallic colors a rest.
But first I want to talk a little about the coming year…
A time of intentions…
The new moon after a winter solstice is a powerful time of setting intention for the year to come. Think of it as the mother of all new moons. Inquiring minds among you are already asking, ‘what if you live in the other hemisphere?’ If you live in the southern hemisphere right now, it is your summer solstice. It is equally powerful because it is a high point, just like a full moon. Having just returned from Australia, I found the energetic contrast interesting and instructive — a lot like the difference between new and full moons. But intention is best planted around the winter solstice new moon.
Have a fire outside! Release what needs to be released by writing it on paper or blowing it into sticks. Burn. Then do the same for your new moon intentions. Go big! It’s a big time.
We are in an alignment phase with the galactic center, variously timed as starting in 1980-89 and ending 2016 or later. This alignment occurs once during a 26,000-year period that in its entirety is called the Great Day. One great day is ending. Another is beginning. What a powerful time to set intention for ourselves and for our planet. Regardless of how you may be feeling about your life circumstances–some are hard indeed– it is a privilege to be on earth now. A lot of energy is available from the galactic center during this alignment period. If you project your inner vision there, you will see that it is not a black hole at all. In fact it is a great sun, the central sun. Our own sun derives immense power and light from that source. It serves as something of a transformer. In turn our sun sends us life and energy.
What are the sources of your energy? Food, sleep, caffeine, exercise? Those are not enough to fully nourish your energetic body or sustain the life you came here to live. In fact there are only a few sources of clean, energetic nutrition: earth, sun, stars, and the central sun. But at this new moon in particular, all that is necessary to open your heart to the energy and love that is freely available from earth, sun, and central sun, now fully aligned, is your intention. You will need this energy in the next year.
…and polarities
The designation of 2012 as a pivotal year may be somewhat arbitrary within the alignment period. But since so many people are focused on it, it becomes significant. At the sitting of the Council, Arrow said this:
“I do not predict, but in the year to come expect to see and experience many polarities between dark and light as we continue to adjust to this high energetic input. It will be intense! In particular, time will seem speeded up as we experience what seems like a lifetime in a month, a week, a day. And yet it will also seem to have slowed to a crawl — as if some things will never end.”
To navigate these waters, use the energy of the central sun. Just call it in and use it to maintain your center. It is important to locate your own central sun within. Allow your central sun to resonate with the one at the heart of the galaxy. For most of us this may feel like a physical place in the center of the chest behind the sternum. As you fill it with energy from the great central sun at the dawn of the new Great Day, feel it expand effortlessly.
Rainbow!
The light-energy of the new moon is rainbow. Free swim! Any rainbow color you like, or all of them. While we have been tuning the earth one color at a time, we have also been growing and strengthening our rainbow bodies. Time to flex a little muscle.
I suggest this: run through all the rainbow colors one at a time around yourself, starting with red (then: orange, yellow, green, pink–the color of the high heart, turquoise, indigo, purple or white). Expand each one around the earth. See which one feels good. Play with it until you want to shift. Or simply hold yourself in a rainbow — red on bottom to correspond with the chakra system – and then expand it to the earth. Evoke your vision of an awakened earth as you do so. Sit in the feeling. Emotion is the best way to activate intention.

After two months, something different…
The beautiful white light we have sustained over the past two months has been strong. To those of you who have been diligent during that period, good work! It only takes a few to tip the balance in a positive direction. Personally, when I was working with it, there were powerful moments of beauty and vast connection extending well beyond this human life or identity. But now it’s time for a change. Or, to be more precise, time to return to two light-energies we have worked with recently.

At this new moon there is a partial solar eclipse–the moon passes between sun and earth and casts her shadow upon us. It is not visible unless you live in New Zealand, though we still feel the effects. As usual, a total lunar eclipse follows two weeks later at the full moon. That will be December 10. It will be visible in North America except the eastern part.
Silver, then Gold
We will hold silver light from the new moon until the full moon, then gold until the solstice (Dec 21 pst; Dec 22 est), and then nothing (!) until the next new moon on the 24th.
Begin with yourself. Hold metallic silver light around your body. Expand it in a bubble to surround your room or even your house. Then expand it to surround the earth, noticing as you do that it is not stretched thin. From there try to include the lunar orbit. You and the bubble are one. Earth and the moon are within you. At the full moon and the solar eclipse, switch to gold.
I like to say that the eclipse cycle is a shadow dance. Each of us has a shadow–including those beings we call earth and moon. When the moon passes between earth and sun (solar eclipse), she casts her shadow upon us. When earth passes between moon and sun (lunar eclipse) we cast ours upon her, or we return her shadow. By holding the silver light-energy, we hold space for the shadow dance to occur at every level: personal, national, planetary. We provide a safe vessel for this important interaction.
Mercury retro
Because Mercury is also retrograde during much of this lunar cycle, the eclipse combination may lend a sense of deep inertia or worse. Keep in mind that it is not inertia for you, humanity, or our planet. It is a pause, even an inhalation. The silver light is strong and helps counteract the voices of fear and doom that may suddenly seem so credible. In this way you are taking an active stand.

At full moon…
On December 10, at the full moon and lunar eclipse, switch to the gold light, holding it as you did the silver. You will feel the shift and you will be part of it. You are still holding space for the shadow dance, now reversed. Think of it as a clearing before the new solar year.
Arrow says…
At this month’s sitting, Arrow, the one who leads the Council, said,
“Earth is awakening, perhaps for the first time. We are part of that unfolding. She is not dying! She is shifting, becoming aware. Remember that we are holding space for that. Our relation to her is also changing–faster than we think. Ask yourself: what would that look like? And then sit in the feeling even as you hold the light-energy.”
